
Jillian Ihsanullah, Ph.D
A psychologist and executive coach with wide-ranging business and consulting experience,
Jillian Ihsanullah has been a trusted advisor of leaders from CEOs and senior vice presidents to middle managers.
Her current work focuses on competency-based leadership within the context of executive teams. Jillian helps
leaders improve their skills and performance by analyzing their feedback and presenting clients with measurable
growth opportunities. Adept at organizational and individual development, Jillian specializes in creating
concrete options for executives that capitalize on their existing strengths. She works most effectively
with motivated, business-focused individuals who have a sincere desire to increase the scope and impact
of their performance.
Jillian has twenty years of counseling experience and has been working in the field of
consulting since 1992. Previously the Director of the Financial Services and Technology Consulting practice
at Linkage, Inc., Jillian specializes in organizational and leadership assessment and development, change
leadership, succession planning and strategic human resource systems. Representative clients include Aldo
Shoes, Boston Edison, CalFarm Insurance, EMC, General Electric, Jeppesen, McDonald's Corporation, Principal
Financial Group, Scudder Investments and the United Nations. Most recently, Jillian co-founded Thought Labs,
a social media consulting company after taking some time off to be with her three children.
Jillian graduated from Connecticut College with a B.A. in Psychology. She earned her M.A.
and Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Purdue University where her research focused on
leadership style, measurement, and individual and group decision making. Jillian is currently conducting
a research study on the foundational processes of executive teams, focusing on the critical work of an executive
team beyond individual functional roles.
